The latest Carers’ Forum for McFarlane Trust brought us together for a productive and encouraging session, held last week at the Glynhill Hotel in Paisley.
Led by Acting Chair Alan, with Lesley and Derek, the forum provided an opportunity to reflect on recent achievements, share updates, and strengthen the sense of community that continues to define McFarlane Trust.
A key highlight was the continued buzz surrounding our recent 30-year anniversary celebration. The event clearly left a lasting impression, with many attendees still reflecting on the milestone and the shared sense of pride in the organisation’s journey and impact.

There was also positive news from head office, where recent team additions have settled in well. Strong team cohesion and effective recruitment have placed the organisation in a healthy position, reinforcing its capacity to deliver high-quality care and support.
Looking ahead, an exciting development is underway in Paisley with the refurbishment of a new property, affectionately nicknamed “The Schoolhouse.” Once complete, this space will further enhance our ability to provide supportive, high-quality environments for the people we support.
Reassuringly, recent Care Inspectorate feedback has also been positive, reflecting the continued dedication and professionalism of staff across the organisation.
As always, the Carers’ Forum proved to be a valuable platform for open discussion, shared learning, and collective progress. With the next forum scheduled for November 2026, we look forward to building on this momentum and continuing our commitment to excellence in care.
